I ran across a handy site today: HassleMe. Although just about everyone hates to be nagged, reminders are helpful — especially to those of us who tend to be busy and pulled in many different directions. HassleMe is a free service that allows you to define how often you’d like to reminded to take whatever action you specify. So, for instance, you might set up a reminder to be devlivered every 3 days reminding you to call a contact and invite him or her to lunch. Yes, adding to the huge influx of email is a serious step, not to be taken lightly, but receiving an email reminder can be an effective support tool, especially (only?) if you discipline yourself to act as soon as you read the email.
Not to nag, but… Thank you for the survey responses that have been flowing in! If you haven’t shared your thoughts yet, please complete the 2007 Life at the Bar survey today. It’ll take less than 5 minutes. You’ll be entered for a drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card and you’ll guide me toward the topics you most want to read about.
If you haven't already done so, please consider signing up for the Life at the Bar blog's RSS feed. Or you might like to receive the posts by email or to subscribe to the weekly email newsletter Leadership Matters for Lawyers, and you'll see subscription forms for both in the middle column. I promise that I won't rent, sell, or otherwise provide your information to anyone else and that your email address will be used only as you request.
Thanks for visiting! (And don't worry... You'll only see this note the first 3 times you visit the blog.)

We have an email reminder service which is used heavily by folks in the legal profession because it works the way attorneys do, from one milestone to the next. Whether the milestone is a future court date, appointment or filing deadline, iTickleMe is better suited than HassleMe because it allows you to easily program any email to return to you in any interval up to one year with only a few key strokes. Best of all, it does not require that you log on to a website to make the entry. iTickleMe actually learns the interval you want by “reading” a tiny code you place in the address line. It is so simple and powerful, you won’t believe it!

Mark, thanks for sharing this! iTickleMe looks like a handy service, and I’ll look forward to using it as well.
